John Lentz is in his 34th year as a financial professional having started his own firm in 1987. Initially focusing his practice in employee benefits, John quickly transitioned to a firm specializing in “Macro” financial planning for professionals and business owners. He has been lucky to surround himself with a team of hardworking, dedicated and talented individuals who have helped take care of our client’s needs for 30+ years. Today, the SWG team consists of 3 advisors and 9 team members. John is a Chartered Financial Consultant and long time member of MDRT’s Top of the Table. He is very active in the financial industry, a frequent public speaker and is recognized by many industry organizations as one of the top financial advisors in the country. John’s proudest professional achievement occurred in May 2012 when he was installed as the 62nd President of the Executive Committee for Guardian Insurance Company.
John married his sweetheart in 1989 and together they have three children: Austin (29), Caitlin (28) and Nicolas (22). Austin has been a financial advisor with SWG since graduating college in 2015 and has already distinguished himself building his own practice. Caitlin is an attorney in Augusta GA and Nicholas recently graduated from FSU and is beginning his career as a firefighter/paramedic.
When asked, John candidly admits that what he likes most about the work he does for people is “helping clients realize dreams they did not think were possible.”
